In James 4:7, submit to God first, then you are able to resist the Devil. Have the word of God in your life first, then you will have authority to resist the Devil, who will flee.

Submitting to God first is the key to receiving the power to resist the devil to make him flee. I am glad Pastor Mel brought that up, because I have heard in so many services “Resist the devil” but they left out the part of the scripture that said “Submit to God”, in that order. What a revelational reminder! Peace and Blessings to all
