1 John 1:9, the Bible says, “If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  In that passage of Scripture, if you would look in the Greek where it talks about cleanse, its making us pure and Holy and perfect, even as God is.  And so I want you to know that 1 John 1:9 is true.  I want you to think about Joshua in chapter two, if you’d read all the way to chapter six, you’d find the story about Rahab the harlot.  And the Bible says that God forgave her, and then, not only did he forgive her, but if you’d look in Matthew, I think its chapter one, you’d find that Rahab, that used to be a harlot, that God doesn’t see her as a harlot anymore, and this is how pure and how divine and supernatural God’s forgiving power is, that Rahab is in the lineage of the Lord Jesus Christ.  And so his power of forgiveness is the same today for you.  Amen.
